We are currently seeking a full-time, non-exempt IT Support Specialist to offer technological support and services to engineers, surveyors, and administrative employees. The IT Support Specialist will provide technical assistance and answers to user questions, assisting users by troubleshooting problems with computer hardware or software. The IT Support Specialist will also partner with external IT support to provide on-site solutions to Baird, Hampton & Brown employees.

Physical Demands
This position is primarily sedentary with long periods of sitting, but occasional walking and lifting up to 50lbs may occur. Occasionally bending, squatting, and reaching overhead may also occur. Additionally, extensive computer usage is required daily. The IT Support Specialist will also have the ability to drive between offices in Fort Worth, Weatherford, Dallas, & Grapevine
Position Type and Schedule
This is a full-time, nonexempt position, with an expectation to work 40 hours per week. BHB offers flexible scheduling options, including five 8-hour days or four 9-hour days with a half day on Friday morning. While the start and end times of the workday can be adjusted, employees are expected to establish and maintain a consistent schedule which must encompass the core business hours of 9am – 4pm. Although overtime is not required, it is requested at times to meet our clients’ needs.

- Identifies, investigates, and resolves user problems with computer software and hardware.
- Fields support calls, chat, email, and walk-ins from users with inquiries regarding software, connectivity, printing, and similar concerns.
- Consults with users to determine steps and procedures taken to identify and resolve the problem.
- Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.
- Guides users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include the use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions.
- Act as a liaison between BHB employees and external IT Service Providers to find technology solutions.
- Collaborates with other staff to research and resolve problems.
- Collaborates with programmers to explain errors and/or recommend modifications in programs.
- Arranges service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products.
- Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
We require:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 11, TCP/IP, Printers, Apple MAC, etc.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software.
It helps to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- At least one year of experience in customer technical support highly preferred.
